The Artist
Bhabatosh Sutar
Concept & Set Design
“A pandal should feel like memory you can walk into.”
Bhabatosh has led the creative direction of our puja for the past three editions, drawing on a background in set design and traditional Bengali craft. This year's theme grew out of conversations with the artisans who still practice the techniques it's built around.
Behind The Craft
The Making ofa Memory
A pandal isn't built in a season -- it's built on everything that came before it. Here's a glimpse into how this year's theme took shape, from the first sketch to the last finishing touch.
Research & Roots
Every theme starts months early, in conversation -- with artisans, elders, and the old craft traditions the design will draw from.
Material & Craft
Clay, bamboo, cloth, and paint, chosen the way they've always been -- by hand, by eye, and by what the materials themselves allow.
Narrative & Form
The structure takes shape around a single idea, so that walking through the pandal feels like walking through the story itself.
Artisans & Community
Dozens of hands finish what one vision starts -- volunteers and craftspeople working side by side through the final weeks.

What is Lorem Ipsum?
Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since 1966, when designers at Letraset and James Mosley, the librarian at St Bride Printing Library in London, took a 1914 Cicero translation and scrambled it to make dummy text for Letraset's Body Type sheets. It has survived not only many decades, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised thanks to these sheets and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker and Microsoft Word including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English.
